| The Thayer Mansion was built in 1846 by Reverend Nathaniel Thayer, and was purchased by Atlantic Union College in 1943, to house the Thayer Performing Arts Center. Situated at 438 Main Street in South Lancaster, MA, 40 miles west of Boston on the Atlantic Union College campus, this Victorian-style Mansion still retains its old-world charm, with its high ceilings, dark-polished wood and elaborate staircases. The Red Room, where concerts are held, recalls the 19th-century salon atmosphere, perfect for intimate performances of chamber music |
