| Festival Sessions July 14-18 and July 21-25, 2008 Day ages 12+, Overnight ages 14+, adult amateurs welcome as well Overnight participants arrive by 6 PM on Sunday, July 13 and/or 20, in time to get settled in the gender-specific, monitored dorms provided by Atlantic Union College. Day students should arrive on Monday, July 14 and/or 21 by 9AM for a meet-and-greet and be ready to start the first rehearsal by 9:30 AM. Boarding students will have three meals per day provided for them, and the cafeteria will be available for the day students to purchase their own meals, should they wish. Boarders will share dorm rooms which will be monitored by Atlantic Union College Resident Assistants, who will also ensure a campus free of smoking or the use of alcohol. Non-musical activities will be done either on the Atlantic Union College campus or will be chaperoned events in the local area, with transportation provided by Atlantic Union College. Music will be sent out in advance, which the participant is expected to prepare and to bring to the first day of rehearsal. The session will culminate in a final performance (open to the public) by the student groups on the afternoons of Friday, July 18 and July 25. |
